In short. A blank Destiny Matrix is a study template: a chart with labeled positions, but without numbers. It is a convenient way to see where each position sits and where the main points come from. A template is not a calculated reading—the calculator builds the full chart with all the numbers.
Why Use a Template
A Destiny Matrix template helps you understand how the chart is structured before looking at your own numbers. People use it to:
- see where each position sits on the chart;
- calculate points A–E by hand and check how number reduction works;
- label their own chart by hand for study notes.
A hand-filled template is not a replacement for a full calculation. Many positions depend on several intermediate sums, and it is simpler to get them in the calculator.
What Is on the Chart
A blank chart consists of several groups of positions.
- Points A, B, C, and D — the four outer points. A is the day of birth point, B is the month, C is the year, and D is the bottom point formed by adding the first three.
- Center — the point in the middle of the chart, the sum of the four outer points.
- Sky line and Earth line — two lines running through the chart. Their numbers are calculated by the calculator.
- Ancestral lines — the male line, the female line, and the ancestral center. Their values are also derived from the main points during calculation.
- Money — a group of positions connected with work and material exchange.
- Relationships (personal zone) — a group of positions about your approach to closeness.
- Purpose — the path to yourself, your place among other people, and deeper meaning.
- Karmic tail — three numbers read together as a single recurring theme.
All positions except points A–E are calculated automatically by the calculator using the formulas of this system.
How to Fill In Points A–E
Fill in the template in order. Reduce every sum strictly greater than 22: add its digits together until you get a number from 1 to 22.
- Point A. Write down the day of birth. If it is greater than 22, add its digits together: 29 → 2 + 9 = 11.
- Point B. Write down the month number—from 1 to 12.
- Point C. Add the digits of the birth year. If the sum is greater than 22, reduce it once more.
- Point D. Add A, B, and C. If the sum is greater than 22, reduce it.
- Center (E). Add A, B, C, and D. If the sum is greater than 22, reduce it.
Example of Filling In the Chart
Sample birth date 12.05.1990.
| Point | Calculation | Number |
|---|---|---|
| A · day of birth | 12 | 12 |
| B | May | 5 |
| C | 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19 | 19 |
| D | 12 + 5 + 19 = 36 → 3 + 6 | 9 |
| Center | 12 + 5 + 19 + 9 = 45 → 4 + 5 | 9 |
In this chart, the center and point D match—both equal 9. On the template, you write 9 in both spots and read it separately for each position: at point D with the question "What are you building in the world?", and at the center as the overall foundation of the chart. You can find the meanings of the numbers in the arcana directory.
Questions
Can I fill in the entire template by hand? Points A–E—yes, following the steps above. The remaining positions depend on several intermediate sums, so it is more convenient to get them in the calculator.
How does a blank template differ from a calculated matrix? A template is only the layout of positions without numbers. A calculated matrix is the same diagram where every position already holds the arcanum for your birth date.
What does each element mean? Each spot asks its own question: point A is how others see you, B is what comes easily, C is what you are learning, D is what you build in the world, and the center is your core foundation. The number in a spot is an arcanum; look up its meaning for the specific position in the arcana directory, and see the reading order in the guide "How to Read the Destiny Matrix".
